FIRST BLOG
NOT JUST ANOTHER WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG (maybe).
I'm one of those people of a certain age who's managed to come through a huge number of technological changes relatively unscathed and without a huge backlog of 8-track cassettes (one of the more unfortunate techno-off-ramps I managed to avoid). I was in my early 30's when the internet weaseled it's way into the real world. I remember the excitement of the dial tone becoming the rhythmic hiss/bleet of the 56/6K modem as it connected me to the terrifying world of pre-Google internet; who knew that typing in a search for salad dressing could find so much porn? I've seen the arrival of the high-speed-facebook-pinterest-youtube-google complex. I know about blogs. I know people blog. I know blogs are good for business.
So, what took so long? Why no blog until now?
...
I procrastinate.
I know that as a wedding photographer I'm supposed to create a post describing each wedding or engagement shoot and I suppose I will (with their permission). But I hope along the way to write about other things - not necessarily wedding or photo related and hopefully of some interest to you, the lonely internet wanderer, and also to you, the bride-to-be, or you, the photo-junkie looking for an image that will cause you to pause for a moment or two before you start searching up the best lens for shooting closeups of avacados (an 85mm). Not all the images will be about weddings or engagements (hence the tree - shot on an iphone using the Hipstamatic app (check it out). Not everything will be perfect. But that's life.
There you have it - my first post.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
